The best time to visit Hampi is during the winter season which lies between the month of October to February. You could also visit during the monsoon season but the boulders get quite slippery which makes it risky. Some parts of the ruins get flooded occasionally so it is best to not visit it during monsoon.

The city of Hospet is the gateway to reach the village of Hampi. It is located at a distance of 13km. By air, reach the Belgaum airport or the Bangalore airport both of which are nearly 300 km away from Hampi.

By train, you could reach Hospet since Hampi doesn’t have a railway station. The most convenient way to reach is by road. If you are on a solo trip to Hampi or a group weekend trip, it is easy to go by road.

As mentioned earlier, the site of Hampi is home to the Hippie Bazaar. Hence, it provides a wide range of materials and good to take back home. You could shop for handicrafts such as stone artifacts, leather goods like bags, footwear and much more.
