Two Quirky Museums, New Delhi

Under the Clean India Movement, the government of India is striving to make toilets at various places to promote cleanliness. If we tell you that the first toilet of the world was build in India way back in 2500BC (some 4,500 years ago), you will be astonished. To top it all, India also has the world�s first Toilet Museum. Sulabh International Museum of Toilets is ranked 3rd amongst the world�s quirkiest museum by the Times Magazine in 2014. It also exhibits information and history of toilets around the world. The museum also displays a wide variety of toilet designs from ancient to the futuristic ones. It is an initiative of the NGO -Sulabh International and is visited by quite a lot of international travelers. Second, in the list is the Heritage Transport Museum to showcase the history of the Indian transportation system. You will be amazed by the beautiful collection of almost all modes of transports. It is build up in quite a large space and displays a good collection of vintage cars, scooters, buses and even luxury trains. You will also see some lovely pre-mechanised vehicles and it goes without saying the decor of the museum makes it worth the visit.
