Located on Baba Kharag Singh Marg in Connaught Place, the place is famous as a significant Sikh pilgrimage. People of all religions visit this holy place to offer their prayers and seek blessings from the almighty. The devotee has to submit their footwear and wash their hands and feet before entering into the main Gurudwara. Always cover your head with a cloth which the gurudwara provides itself. The most traditional headcover is called Turban. 


The gurudwara prepares food for at least 15 thousand people on a regular basis. It serves Langar to people irrespective of their caste, religion or nationality. The food served is believed to be blessed by the almighty itself. People can even volunteer before having Langar. They can help in the kitchen for making flatbreads, lentils, and 800-900kg vegetables to serve 7000 to 8000 people in one go. The gates are open for 24 hours, you can visit Bangla Sahib Gurudwara at any time of the day and have a holy experience

The former residence of the eighth Sikh guru, Guru Har Krishan is known as Bangla Sahib Gurudwara. Located near the Connaught Palace, it was built in 1783 as a small shrine by Sikh General Sardar Bhagel Singh Dhariwal during the reign of Mughal Emperor,  Shah Aalam II. A magnificent monument, its golden dome and towering flagpole known as Nishaan Sahib stand gloriously visible to the visitors. It also as a sacred pond complex which is considered holy by the sikh pilgrims called the Sarovar.
