We cycle to unexplored and remote areas in the National park to reach the caves, sit and relax by a stream, then cycle 7 km inside the Park through the lush greenery to 2000 years old Buddhist settlements built around 1st century BC and was in use till 11th Century AD.

The meaning of word Kanheri revolves around the black mountains made of Basalic Stones.
